New Depth for the term "Big"
John and I took the boys to go see Kennecott Copper Mine this afternoon.

Talk about big. Like, blow your mind, big. The truck tires are 12 and a half feet tall, and the open pit mine is 2.5 miles across. It was awesome.

I'll admit it. We were as wowed as the boys were by the whole thing. Okay maybe more.

That's so cool! We just talked about it in my Utah History class (I just got tested on it yesterday). Did you know that it was created through a merger of the Utah Copper Company right around the turn of the century? I heard it was one of the only two man-made things you can see from space too(the other one is the great wall). Is that true?

Yep, that's true. Crazy huh! We should go sometime when you guys are up. Check out the link on "awesome" for amazing facts about that place. I read all over that site (historical info, etc) last night after we got back.
