I can finally say I've been fishing!
The boys and I gave John the whole settup for fishing for Father's Day, so we went last weekend down to Provo Lake.
Here's a little video to show what our fishing experience *wasn't.*
So we didn't come home with a fish to show for it. . . but we had a lot of fun anyway. :)
The boys had a ball adventuring around in the brush and chillin by the lake, and eating goodies. This picture is the when they finally sat down for the first time after romping and exploring at full speed for hours.
Actually the closest we got to something that looked like a fish was Seth's pet lizard that he adopted. This turned out to be the classic proud fisherman shot for our trip. :)
It was actually a blast, and, hey, a girl's gotta start somewhere. :)

Cute photos--I love the blue and green contrast. Seth is getting so big!
Next time maybe you could get up early, before the sun, and try the flashlight fishing technique. Tired as the boys might be, they'd probably get a kick out of it.
Love you all!

Yes you're roughing it, but the question is can you bait your own line with a Canadian Night Crawler, then gut the fish after you catch it?
What kind of bait did you use?
Love the pics by the way. My favorite is the one with both of them lounging in the chairs. Seth just chillin with his legs crossed is so funny to me :)

Being able to gut my own fish would be subsequent to being able to catch a fish in the first place. So, no. I can't do that. Haven't had the chance yet. Thanks for rubbing it in.
The boys do get a huge kick out of the Canadian Night Crawlers tho. Speaking of, they've been in the fridge for over a week now. . . how long do they last??

Hey Christine- do you have any pictures of the reunion you could post? Since we weren't there, I've been dying to see some...

Hey I'm waiting in the LA airport and don't know your email address. It's actually dang cool that I could find your blog and that this comment isn't taking me an hour to write. It's good to see the boys again and I miss them soooo much already!!! Guess what? The bags were 48 lbs, 48 lbs, 51 lbs, and 55lbs (we added my planner of death to one). The lady was super nice and covered the numbers and laughed and looked away. Bless her heart! One potential problem down and ??? to go. I'm really glad she was in a good mood. I've worried about that for alooong time. Yeah!
Well I love you they are calling our flight. See you later,
Joanna

Joey! So good to hear from you! That rocks about the luggage. Ha, if we had known she would be so pleasant about the whole thing we would've spent about an hour less of fretting and rearranging and weighing to get it all right. . . that's okay :) I'm glad you got to deal with someone in a good mood for a change right? :) I really enjoyed all the time we worked together these last weeks. Good times. :) see ya
